We are waiting on his device to pass to finish the scroll. The symbolism in this scroll is as follows: the Stag is a sign of fidelity and immortality, as Pliny asserts that eating venison gives immortality (from Pliny's Bestiary). The Peacock and Owl and the other birds I associate with flight through life and the wisdom of your adventures they're in. This were I started working on gold leaf a little more intently.. All paint is ground period pigments .
